Seaborn Hunt III MD is a board certified ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon who provides complete medical, laser, and surgical eye care to Ocala Florida, The Villages, and surrounding communities. With over 15,000 successful eye surgeries performed, Dr. Hunt has extensive experience in advanced treatments for cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. Dr. Hunt also sees patients for routine eye exams, and participates in clinical trials exploring the next generation of treatments for eye disease.

Outside of the Office:

Dr. Hunt grew up in Ocala, and feels privileged to give back to the community that he has called home since early childhood. When he’s away from the office, Dr. Hunt can be found with his wife and three children enjoying youth baseball, fellowship with family and friends, and appreciating the great outdoors.

Education and Training:

Dr. Hunt graduated from Florida State University in 1992 and the University Of Florida College Of Medicine in 1996. After interning at the University of Florida Health Center he completed his residency at the University of South Florida and Tampa General Hospital in 2000.
